What is Rebates?

Rebates means money back. UnionBank Credit Card with its partnership with FindShare and their merchants allows you to earn back a portion of the amount you spent for your online purchases using your UnionBank Credit Card.

How much rebate do I get?

The rebate amount differs per merchant. Customer may get 1%-15% rebate. The rebate rate is published in the merchant page and in the pop-up.

How will I get my rebates?

Rebates will be credited directly to your UnionBank Credit Card account. The transaction description to be reflected in cardholder's billing statement which is either "unionbank.findshare.com Credit" or "rebates.unionbankph.com Credit".

How long will it take me to get my rebates?

Rebates are credited based on the merchant turn-around-time (TAT) for crediting. You may view it in the terms and conditions of each merchant. Please note that for travel-related merchants, the TAT starts once the stay/ trip has been completed. As long as the user won't return the order once received, the rebate should reflect on your account within 30-60 days depending on the merchant.

Do I need to wait for an accumulated amount to get my rebates?

No, there is no minimum purchase amount required to get rebates.

How do I know if my rebates transaction is being recorded properly?

Visit the Rebates History link located on the main page. The Rebates History page will show all your transactions 3 to 7 days after your transaction. Pending transactions mean that the merchant has reported the transaction and will reconfirm the rebates amount after the allowed return period or the travel date. Paid transactions mean the amount has been credited to your UnionBank Credit Card account. Declined transactions mean the merchants invalidated the transactions mainly due to the items being returned or reservations being cancelled.

Do I need to have a UnionBank Savings or Checking account to get the rebates?

No. Your rebates will be credited to your UnionBank Credit Card account. The transaction description to be reflected in cardholder's billing statement which is either "unionbank.findshare.com Credit" or "rebates.unionbankph.com Credit".

What is a Rebate ID?

Rebate ID is your unique ID so we can credit the rebate to your account. Your Rebate ID only needs to be encoded once and it will be automatically populated in your next visit if you are using the same device.

I don’t know my Rebate ID, what do I do?

Your Rebate ID was sent to your email. If you can no longer retrieve the email, please contact the UnionBank 24-hour customer service at 02-8841-8600 and they will provide you with your Rebate ID.

I cannot access https://rebates.unionbankph.com/ or some of the pages do not show.

Some programs that you have installed can update the “Hosts” file of your computer, which may interfere and cause problems with the rebates program.

Why didn’t I get rebates?

Your rebates might not have been tracked due to the following reasons:

  1. You may not have clicked and started your shopping journey from https://rebates.unionbankph.com/.
  2. You did not use your UnionBank Credit Card to pay for your purchase.
  3. You may not have followed the Merchant Terms & Conditions. Every partner store comes with its unique set of Terms and Conditions. If you fail to adhere to them when ordering, no rebate will be awarded. You can access each partner store's Terms & Conditions on the brand page or from the pop-up page.
  4. Rebate takes up to 3 months to be processed and reflected in your account, depending on the Merchant Terms & Conditions.
  5. You cancelled, returned, or exchanged your order. Please refer to the Merchant Terms & Conditions to ensure that you get your rebates.
  6. You have ad blockers or disabled cookies applied to your browsers.

The rebate that I got was incorrect, what do I do?

Your rebate is calculated based on the following factors:

  1. For certain stores, the percentage and/or amount of rebate awarded is not fixed and is calculated based on different tiers (e.g. different categories of products and new/existing customers). Please refer to Merchant Terms & Conditions.
  2. You have made a second purchase which did not originate from the UnionBank rebate page. Please note that to earn the rebate, your purchase must come from the rebate page. If you have checked-out and made another purchase, you need to go back to the UnionBank rebate page in order to still earn rebates on your second purchase.

Does my rebate expire?

No. The rebate accumulated in your UnionBank Credit Card does not have an expiration.

Can I withdraw the rebates that I earned?

The rebates you’ve earned will automatically be deducted from your Credit Card balance. If you have no outstanding balance, the rebates stay in your account and is deducted once there is a balance due. Rebates cannot be exchanged for cash.

There is a 70% site-wide promo in the merchant I want to shop from? Will I still earn rebates?

Earning of rebates on discounted sites is dependent on the merchant. For most merchants, rebates are still extended even when there is a site-wide discount promo. You may check the Terms & Conditions of the Merchant you want to shop from.

How do I know how much I’m going to get from marketplace sites like Lazada and Shopee?

Marketplace sites like Lazada, AliExpress and Shopee have different rates for different categories. The percentage and/or amount of cashback awarded is not fixed and is calculated based on different tiers (e.g. different categories of products, and participating brands). Please check the individual merchant pages to view the categories and their respective cashbacks. Lazada, AliExpress and Shopee have the right to change the cashback rate at any time.
